FAQ'S

Q: What are your hours of operation and type of loading facility?
A: We are open 8am – 5pm (closed from noon to 1pm) Monday through Friday. Dock closes at 4PM each Friday during the summer months. Our locations are warehouses with ground and semi level docks and receiving staff.

Q: Who can I use to ship my off-lease equipment?
A: You may use any shipper you like, that is unless your lease company expressly prohibits a carrier (e.g. UPS, FedEx, and USPS). You may even elect to deliver personally. However, we do strongly recommend using a moving company.

Q: Do you offer shipping services?
A: Yes, Impact Technology can help arrange shipping for you and we are happy to do it! Click here to get started.
Once you click "Submit" your quote request is sent out to every appropriate shipper in your area and we return to you the lowest quote. You are not obligated to use our service.

Q: May I palletize, crate, or ship via LTL freight?
A: Yes, but it is not recommended. These shippers tend to have the highest rates of damage and do not allow for the proper documentation of condition upon delivery. In short, they are more likely to damage and nearly impossible to report a claim to.
However, in some cases shipping in this way is unavoidable. For instructions on how to properly palletize a copier please click here.

Q: How soon could you set up shipment?

A: Scheduling for pickup will take place once payment is received. You will be given instructions for multiple payment options in the quote email. In general, a dispatcher will call and pick-up will take place within one week of payment being processed.

Q: How soon will delivery take place?
A: In general most shipments are received in two to three weeks. Faster delivery is possible for an extra fee.
*Note: some return letters (for off-lease copier returns) say you have only a week to set up shipping. Read that section carefully as they likely mean you have a week to set up and report to them, not that pickup and delivery must all take place in just one week.

Q: If I chose to use your shipping service how do I prepare my copier for pickup?
A: We provide all necessary packaging. In fact, our carriers use special equipment in their trailer. This is often called "pad and strap" or "white glove" service.
All you need to do is part the finisher (if applicable), unplug all items from the wall, and print a copy of the return letter to be taped to all items being shipped. Do not remove toner or anything needed for the asset(s) to function. If you have unused toner you may send it with and we will do our best to find a home for it and not end up in a landfill.
*Parting the finisher is applicable if your finisher has its own set of wheels.

Q: I have questions, who do I call?
A: Please call Jack Mechels at 320.732.7478.
